The cover of Sir magazine, 1967. Gruau depicts a young man dressed in a slim cut striped summer suit, donning a panama hat, a cane and a pair of two tone spectator shoes. Finishing touches are a bow tie and a piece of white linen in his breast pocket.
The red background makes the image pop out of the page. When I see this outfit I don’t think 1960s, my first associations would be the Roaring Twenties, or even earlier, the pre World War I years.
